USB cable provided by the seller was faulty, it was able to power the board but not able to make any data connection, so windows was not able to detect the board. In a few secs, TX RX LEDs on board will blink showing data activity. open the blink program from examples folder and click upload now start Arduino IDE, select the com port from the tools menuĥ. Windows installed driver dated 24-Nov-15, version 1.2.3.0 (look under Ports section in device manager)Ĥ. Also, it doesn't uses CH340 chip for USB to serial, which is used by many cheap clones, so it doesn't need any additional drivers.

The build quality is as good as original, even though it is a clone it says made in Italy. Purchased this Arduino board few days back, Brand Chipdot, Seller eProLabs. The packaging could have been done better but i haven't encountered any problems so far. This product appears to be manufactured by a hong kong based company called sintron which is designed to be a low cost alternative. Hosting/maintanance website and forum (millions of users!) Make donations to other open source projects The reason why the original arduino is more expensive than the clones is because they are not mass producer of electronics and mpst of their profits goes into ( as stated in the arduino website) The obvious indicator is the price difference and the packaging. Thisproduct is definitely another clone but i wouldn't call it a counterfeit. You can also now connect the with any power source instead of your pc to use it.īeing an open source hardware with schematics freely available to build an arduino board on your own, itis very common to have clones built by other manufacturers for as low as half the price. ģ) Open the IDE and choose the board you are using in "tools" and the COM port your arduino board is in.Ĥ) Now you can write any program you like in IDE and just click on upload to upload it to your board.ĥ) Its done. It is not original but they could have at least ut it in a nice box with a manual or something.ġ) First check the product is fine or not by just plugging it in your pc's usb port, the on green light will glow.Ģ) You have to install arduino IDE or. It has no manual in it just a board so you will have to search on internet about the projects.

The product works fine, but the way the seller delivered it was very disappointing. You will get a usb cable with it nothing more. But the packaging in which it came was very disappointing, I expected that it would had a arduino labeled box instead they put it in a puffed small cardboard box with out anything on it, just plain box.
